What are the costs for providing medical, mental health, and long-term care services to Medicaid clients who are aged, blind, or disabled? What types of services are high-cost clients more likely to get compared to aged and disabled clients overall? Are high-cost clients more likely to get services from several different programs within DSHS?
These questions are being addressed by analyses conducted by the Research and Data Analysis Division for the Department of Social and Health Services' Washington State Medicaid Integration Project (WMIP). Available administrative data will be used to analyze costs and use of services by aged and disabled Medicaid clients. The results of these analyses will be released in a series of reports via this website.
