Download: State report

Summary: In October 1992, DSHS' Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse and the Office of Research and Data Analysis were awarded a three-year contract by the federal Center for Substance Abuse Treatment to assess the need for state-funded substance abuse treatment services. The results from a telephone survey of over 7,000 Washington households and face-to-face interviews with 599 adults arrested and held in booking facilities in King, Whatcom, and Yakima counties are reported in this study.
