Temporary Assist Needy Families (TANF)

Description: This project is developing the capability for DSHS to report data to the Federal government (The Administration for Families and Children) as required by the welfare reform legislation which passed congress in 1996. The final statement of reporting requirements became effective on October 1, 1999 and the DSHS reporting capability is now being refined and developed into a "production" capability.

Related Reports: This capability does not produce any published reports. Instead, it forwards case and person level data to the Federal government.
