Secretary's List of Crimes and Negative Actions

The Secretary's List of Crimes and Negative Actions (Secretary’s List) is based on state and federal law adopted by the Secretary of DSHS.  The Secretary’s List sets out minimum background criteria for individuals with unsupervised access to vulnerable adults, juveniles, and children.

1. Secretary’s List for programs administered by:
   • Home and Community Services, Aging and Disability Services Administration for Individual Providers and Home Care Agencies
2. Secretary’s List for programs administered by:
• Residential Care Services, Aging and Disability Services Administration for Nursing Homes, Boarding Homes and Adult Family Homes
3. Secretary’s List for programs administered by:
• DSHS, including DSHS state employees in covered positions
