ACES automatically prints the fair hearing rights on all letters mailed from State Office or issued to a client in the local CSO. When a client requests a fair hearing and benefits are to be continued pending the outcome of the hearing, reinstate the AU that has been closed, or reopen the AU that has been denied. See EA-Z Manual - Letters: WAC 388-458-0035 When reopening a case due to a fair hearing request, check to be sure that the letter ACES generates is the appropriate letter. In some situations, while the fair hearing is pending it is necessary to issue benefits to the same individual for the same month in two different AUs. To do this in ACES:
In some situations reopening or reinstating a case will not work because, based on the case situation, the client is not eligible, so the AU will not stay open. | ||
