ACES ALERTS


351: AU TERMINATED / CLOSED OVERNIGHT


An alert generated when ACES terminates an AU during overnight batch processing. The user should review the circumstances that triggered eligibility and caused the AU to close.

PROCEDURE

1.      Research the reason for the termination by selecting option [B] - AU / Client Inquiry - and pressing <F15> to access the case.

2.      Review the closing code on the (STAT) to determine the reason for closing. You may have to <Shift> <Tab> back to the upper left corner of the screen and change the date to inquire on a previous month in order to view the actions taken by ACES (see Benefit Month in the alert). You may also have to research the action in other menus of ACES; for example, if the AU is an SSI recipient, complete an SDX inquiry at the (LMEN).

3.      Another possible source of information could be to review the Letter and Computations that ACES sent to the head of household about actions taken on the AU.

4.      From the alerts screen, enter [H] and press <F15>.

5.      <TRANSMIT> through the screens of the notice to read what information ACES was using.

6.      Depending on the results of your research, you may have to exit the alerts screen by pressing <F3> back to the (BMEN) and then call (AMEN).

7.      Access the case from the (AMEN) in order to reinstate and process historical month(s) and/or the ongoing month.

8.      After you have determined the appropriate action to take and have completed the work, disposition of the alert, either from the alerts screen or from within the case.
