Our Mission

Welcome to the Department of Social and Health Services Government and Community Relations website. Within the Office of the Secretary, Government and Community Relations (GCR) serves as the liaison with local, state, and federal governments, tribes, elected officials, and customers.

Government and Community Relations is responsible for the congressional and state legislative agenda and activity as well as working with local elected officials. Constituent Service is responsible for directing and responding to inquires about DSHS services. The Victim Witness Notification program provides notification to victims and witnesses of sexual assault or violent crimes.
