TARGET DATA ENTRY CHANGES AND ADDITIONS

Effective January 2, 2007 TARGET has been implemented with the GAIN – SS which introduces a new form DSHS 14-479 and an additional menu option for TARGET Data Entry staff.  The form is available on line from the DSHS Forms website like all the other TARGET forms.  Once the form is filled out, data entry staff will enter the 3 Sub-Scale scores under the Client Sub menu option labeled GAIN – SS.  Using this function it is possible to enter a GAIN-SS screening on a client without any further assessment or admission information needing to be completed.  For your information, we have included a link to the letter that was distributed to the providers in December - GAIN SS Memo (pdf).

The DSHS 04-416 Assessment/Admission form has also been modified to reflect the addition of the co-occurring disorder Quadrant Placement data element on page 6. This field is used to document the level of mental health and chemical dependency related dysfunction exhibited by clients with co-occurring disorders.  The item has been added both to the printed forms and to the TARGET screens.  This is now a required field in the TARGET data set.

Downtime

The TARGET system is typically not available the last weekend of each month from 5:00 p.m. Friday, through 8:00 a.m. Monday. The dates for this month are: January 26th thru 29th.
