Disability Advisory Committee (DAC)

MISSION STATEMENT   

Provide the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) the disability community's vision of how to establish and implement services that are responsive to the needs of people with disabilities in Washington State. Identify barriers to programs and services that confront people with disabilities, and monitor effort to remove barriers. Describe the problems and concerns of people with disabilities in Washington State. Seek information from concerned citizens on issues important to people with disabilities.

How does someone get on the Committee?

The Committee is currently recruiting from around the state, looking for people who want to help to educate our community regarding sensitivity to (DAC) Disability Advisory Committee concerns. If you are interested in finding out more or would like an application sent to you please contact Esmeralda Crosson at 360-725-5831 or E-mail her at: mailto:crosses2@dshs.wa.gov

As established by direction of the Secretary, the committee shall be comprised of not more than 15 members, who shall be appointed by the Secretary. A majority of the voting members shall constitute a quorum. If you are interested in applying to be a MAC member, please complete and mail the attached application form [word].
