October 2002 Data for Washington's foster care and child protective services was given to the Children and Family Services Program for review and analysis by the Administration for Children and Families.
September 2003 Washington State Child Welfare Program completed a Statewide Assessment.
November 2003 Onsite review began.
February 10, 2004 Workgroups began meeting to develop a Program Improvement Plan.
February 11, 2004 Permanency Summit facilitated by Families for Kids Partnership
February 18, 2004 CFSR final report was released to the department.
March 4-5, 2004 Tribal meetings facilitated by National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA), Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) and National Resource Center for Organizational Improvement (NRCOI).
April 16, 2004 Draft Program Improvement Plan submitted to DHHS for review.
October 1, 2004 Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) accepts the program improvement plan contained in Kids Come First Phase II.
February 15, 2005 First quarterly status report regarding the Program Improvement Plan due to Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
2008 Next CFSR onsite review.
